20 Clickers and 5 Alumni visited the Surau Kampong Cherating Lama to give it a fresh coat of paint. The Village Leaders were overjoyed to see a group of youth from all over Malaysia come by on a Sunday morning to repaint the small community mosque.
The youth and alumni were so excited to give back in this special way. Ambassador Jones made a special trip to join in giving a new look to this Muslim house of worship.
The Ambassador and Malaysian-American Alumni President Faisal Hassan made a donation of food and prayer mats to the community leaders in this small village. Local media also dropped by to cover this community outreach event in the local newspaper.
Before they departed, everyone posed for one big community photo which ended with a big cheer!
